Our Take: These shin guards are great for getting a little extra protection but the "splint" is a little too curved where it doesn't really wrap around the shin as well as we would like, they seem to flatten out over time but it's something you'll notice at first.  

We do like that the splints are removable so that you can have more or less protection, in the place you need.  It is a larger shin guard so it make come down to where your liner meets your shin.
