Returns - WE DO NOT DO EXCHANGES; IF YOU'D LIKE A DIFFERENT ITEM PLEASE RETURN THE ITEM YOU DON'T WANT AND PLACE A NEW ORDER FOR THE ITEM(S) YOU'D LIKE.  OUR RETURN ADDRESS IS 243 Overhill Drive STE B, Mooresville, NC 28117 .  PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POLICY SECTION BEFORE SENDING AN ITEM BACK AS A RETURN.

**ITEMS MUST BE NEW TO BE RETURNED, IF IT IS USED WE WILL THROW IT IN THE TRASH UNLESS YOU PAY TO HAVE IT SHIPPED BACK TO YOU.**

**WHEN IT COMES TO WARRANTIES OR DEFECTS, WE CAN ONLY REPLACE THE ITEM - THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR USED ITEMS THAT DON'T MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR YOU FEEL IS DEFECTIVE - ONLY A REPLACEMENT CAN BE PROVIDED.**

**ONCE AN ITEM HAS BEEN USED, WE WILL NO LONGER OFFER ANY TYPE OF REFUND, REPLACEMENTS FOR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED AND ONLY COMPLETED BY THE DISCRETION OF THE MANUFACTURER.**

If you have an order cancelled before it ships, the processing fees paid will be deducted from your refund.

Shipping costs and credit card processing fees can not be refunded.  The initial shipping cost to get the items will be deducted from your return even if you got free shipping or you paid a reduced shipping amount on your original order.  All credit card processing fees are non-refundable.  All returns will be reduced by shipping costs and credit card processing fees.

Please ship items back in a manner that does not do additional damage the original product packaging.

For Example:

  • taping the box with non transparent tape,
  • applying shipping labels directly to the box,
  • using the box as the sole shipping vessel

TRY

  • cover the package with a trash bag or reuse the packaging we shipped the item to you 
  • taking the package to a UPS store and they will assist you 

 RETURNS ON FREE SHIPPING:

  • If you received FREE SHIPPING, the costs to initially ship will be deducted from your total refund amount. 

  • ANY MISSING ITEMS (ie BOX, TOOLS, FREE ITEMS) will be deducted from your refund
  • If you are returning a partial amount of your order, and the new total is less than $125, shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, underwear, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Sale, Clearance, Used and Open Box Items* 
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Discounted items (including promo codes)

To complete your return, we may require a receipt or proof of purchase.  Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Open box policy:  

Occasionally, we will get a return where the item is unused but we feel like it should be sold at a discount, as it is technically "not new" anymore.  If you see a small discount, you can expect the item to be in mint condition as it would have been received had you purchased the item brand new. If you see of larger than retail discount usually we will have a description of the issues.  Open box items may not be shipped in the original packaging.  Sorry, no refunds or exchanges on open box items.  If you have any questions feel free to email!


Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.  It generally takes 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS for refunds to post, depending on your financial institution.

No refunds on shipping costs once an order has been shipped.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We are no longer processing exchanges.  Please return items (refer to our return policy) and place an order for the new item you'd like.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift store credit for the value of your return (if item is still brand new). Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be e-mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he/she will find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. ALL shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of ORIGINAL shipping PAID BY OAK CITY INLINE SKATE SHOP will be deducted from your refund. Please note that while Oak City rarely charges customers for the full cost of shipping when new orders are received so return shipping will likely be higher than the amount noted on your invoice (you pay less than we do when you place a new order).

We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance when returning an item for a refund. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
